Skid plate systems are a set of plates that nest together under the truck, and the weak spot is usually where the bumper ends and the skids begin. This 1/4" aluminum connector plate mounts behind the front bumper on a 5th Gen 4Runner (2010–2024) and closes that gap, so the front of the underside is covered end to end.
Why it works
Aluminum keeps the weight down while 1/4" plate gives it real backbone on rocks. Drain holes are built in so air can move and mud and water do not sit on top of the plate. It bolts to factory mounting points with the included hardware, and it is compatible with KDSS-equipped trucks.
