The Alpine RT4 is a 4 inch long arm system for four-door Wranglers that spend real time on trails and rocks but still need to hold a highway line. The Alpine IR long control arms are built from DOM tube, 42mm x 4mm wall for the uppers and 50mm x 5mm wall for the lowers. The kit tops out at a 37 inch tire. Long arms move the pivot points back, which is why this one is more involved than a short arm bolt-on.
Fitment
Fits the Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited (4-door), 2007-2018. Maximum tire diameter is 37 inches at a 4 inch lift height.
Install notes
Aftermarket wheels with 4.75 inches of backspacing or less are required, or offset wheel adapters (TeraFlex 1055000) if you are keeping the stock wheels. Neither is included. The install requires cutting and removal of the factory control arm bracketry to fit the Alpine long arm brackets, plus cutting and welding. Alignment is required. Shocks are not included; longer shocks are needed. TeraFlex lists the 37 inch tire ceiling alongside the 4 inch height, so it is the right option when tire size matters more than keeping the install simple.
