Oversized tires and offset wheels put far more leverage on a ball joint than Jeep planned for. This TeraFlex heavy-duty kit replaces the Dana 30/44 ball joints on the TJ Wrangler with parts built around that higher load, and it comes as a full set: two upper and two lower.
The ball and stud are heat-treated 4140 chromoly seated in a 1045 carbon steel housing, and a magnesium phosphate coating runs throughout the joint to inhibit corrosion. This listing is the knurled version.
It is a sensible refresh on any TJ that has moved to bigger rubber, since the joints carry load every time the axle articulates or a tire takes a hit.
Fitment
1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ with Dana 30/44 axles. This kit will not work with RCV shafts, so check your axle shafts before you order.
