This is ReadyLIFT's 5" rear block kit for 2014-2018 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 6-lug trucks, 2WD or 4WD. It swaps out the factory 1" rear block for an OEM-style cast iron block, so the net gain is 4" of rear lift, and new longer U-bolts and hardware come in the box. If your truck sits nose-down after a front leveling kit, or you want a little rake back for towing and hauling, this is the simple fix.
Why it works
- One block, not a stack. A single tall block replaces the factory piece, so you avoid stacked blocks, which may be illegal in some states.
- Cast iron, OEM-style. The blocks are model-specific cast iron rather than lightweight extrusions, with built-in anti-rotation ears.
- Pairs with a leveling kit. ReadyLIFT sells it alongside its GM 6-lug 2.25" front leveling kit; together they give a mild lifted stance with a slight rake.
- Lifetime warranty. ReadyLIFT covers the kit with its Lifetime Warranty.
Fitment
2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500, 6-lug, 2WD and 4WD. The block is sold as a 5" block, but because it replaces the factory 1" block, the net rear lift over stock is 4".
Install notes
- ReadyLIFT estimates about 1.8 hours (plus or minus 0.5 hours), not counting alignment or wheel and tire work. A certified mechanic is recommended, and read the instructions fully before you start.
- ReadyLIFT recommends the 67-3809 Rear Shock Extension Kit or longer shocks with a block of this height.
- Plan on an alignment and a headlamp aim check afterward. Driver-assist (ADAS) sensors may also need aiming or calibration.
- Modified suspension changes how the truck handles. Drive accordingly, wear seatbelts and check your state's laws.
In the box
- Two rear blocks
- Four longer E-coated U-bolts
- Eight nuts and washers
Prop 65 warning: This product can expose you to DEHP, which the State of California lists as causing cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
