The Ascent is a full-length aluminum roof rack for the 4th gen 4Runner. It is built to carry roof top tents and heavy gear: 1/4" 5052 aluminum laser cut side panels and rear fairing, 1" x 2" black anodized T-slot cross-bars and a 1/8" 5052 front fairing shaped to the roof and windshield. All aluminum parts are CNC deburred to remove sharp edges, and the whole rack weighs 54 lbs.
The T-slot bars come machined for nut plates and carriage bolts, so you can add accessories without removing the bars, and the slots are an industry-standard size that fits many accessories. Side panel slots take handles, side lighting and awning mounts. The rack sits only 3" above the highest point of the truck and does not require removing or altering the roof antenna.
Fitment
2003-2009 Toyota 4Runner. RCI confirmed fit on a 2004 and a 2006 4Runner SR5 and suspects it fits all 2003-2009 4Runners.
What's included
Rubber trim, injection-molded rubber mounting blocks that lift and cushion the feet and seal out moisture, black stainless steel hardware and trim, and instructions.
Install notes
Fully bolt-on using existing roof rack mounting holes and rubber load-bearing pads at the front. Assembly takes about 45 minutes.
