How to make a Overland Vehicle Systems claim
- Have your proof of purchase or sales receipt ready; OVS asks for it with every warranty claim
- Photograph the defect and note your part number before you remove or ship anything
- Contact OVS Warranty Service by phone or email (below). OVS decides whether the item is defective and, if it is, repairs or replaces it with an equivalent product
- Freight deliveries (caps, racks, tents): inspect before you sign, note any damage on the bill of lading, and report damage or missing pieces within 24 hours

3/4 in D-Ring Recovery Shackles, 4.75 Ton Rated, Pair
A pair of 3/4 in D-ring shackles is the most basic connection hardware in a recovery kit. These link a strap, tree saver or snatch block to a bumper D-ring mount or a receiver-mounted recovery point. Each one is rated at 4.75 tons, or 9,500 lb, and they come as a pair, which is the minimum OVS suggests keeping in every vehicle alongside a tow strap.
The bow is hot-forged 3/4 in steel with a 7/8 in pin. The finish is applied in two stages, an electrostatic E-coat base and a heavy-duty powder coat over it, to resist corrosion and abrasion from use on the trail. They work with most bumpers, tow and recovery straps, tree savers, snatch blocks and receiver mounts. Browse the rest of our shackles and D-rings to round out the kit.
Universal. Fits bumpers with D-ring mounts, receiver-mounted recovery points, and straps, tree savers and snatch blocks with eyes that accept a 3/4 in shackle and 7/8 in pin.
Colors are red, gray, black or zinc; the choice is cosmetic and the rating is the same. Each shackle weighs about 2 lb. Clean them with soap and water after muddy use.
