How to make a Overland Vehicle Systems claim
- Have your proof of purchase or sales receipt ready; OVS asks for it with every warranty claim
- Photograph the defect and note your part number before you remove or ship anything
- Contact OVS Warranty Service by phone or email (below). OVS decides whether the item is defective and, if it is, repairs or replaces it with an equivalent product
- Freight deliveries (caps, racks, tents): inspect before you sign, note any damage on the bill of lading, and report damage or missing pieces within 24 hours

The XD Sherpa: A Hybrid Soft Shell With No Cover to Wrestle
Traditional soft shell tents fold under a zip-on travel cover that you have to fight with every morning. The XD Sherpa is a hybrid: a soft shell tent that closes under a lightweight ABS plastic shell, so there is no separate cover to remove. It is offered in solo, 2, 3 and 4 person sizes.
The cantilever design folds out to create the sleeping platform, and the body is 320G ripstop with a blackout interior coating for darker, cooler sleeping. It rests on an aluminum honeycomb base that is stiff without being heavy, and a stainless steel bridge hinge handles the opening and closing. Setup and pack-down are quick compared to a covered soft shell. Compare it with our other roof top tents.
Universal. It mounts on a roof rack or bed rack rated for its weight. Shipping weights run about 120 lb for the Solo, 140 lb for the 2 person, 160 lb for the 3 person and 180 lb for the 4 person.
Pick the size by how many people sleep up top and how much rack length you have. The Solo and 2 person ship in a box about 60 in long, the 3 person about 68 in and the 4 person about 76 in. Plan on two people or a lift to mount it. Covered by the OVS warranty. This one ships by freight truck, so plan on a delivery appointment. Not sure it fits your setup?
