How to make a Overland Vehicle Systems claim
- Have your proof of purchase or sales receipt ready; OVS asks for it with every warranty claim
- Photograph the defect and note your part number before you remove or ship anything
- Contact OVS Warranty Service by phone or email (below). OVS decides whether the item is defective and, if it is, repairs or replaces it with an equivalent product
- Freight deliveries (caps, racks, tents): inspect before you sign, note any damage on the bill of lading, and report damage or missing pieces within 24 hours

Explorer Soft Shell for the 2024-2027 Toyota Tacoma 5 ft Bed
The Explorer Soft Shell is a canvas topper for the 5 ft bed on the 2024-2027 Tacoma. It covers the bed against rain, sun and dust without the weight or permanence of a hard cap, and it comes off when you need the open bed back. It is a good middle ground for owners who want weather protection for gear but do not want a metal shell on the truck full time.
The cover is Black Diamond Canvas that is waterproof, UV-protected and resists mildew, stretched over a lightweight aluminum frame that one person can lift and operate. The rear window can be rolled up or taken out entirely for airflow and rearward visibility, and the windows are DOT-tinted 30 mil vinyl. Fits 2024-2027 Toyota Tacoma trucks with the 5 ft bed (Tacoma 4th Gen). It does not fit the longer bed, so confirm your bed length before ordering.
Installation and removal use zippers and belt rails, so there is no permanent hardware left on the truck when the shell is off. The rear window is the main ventilation control: roll it up partway on warm days or remove it completely. Does the Explorer Soft Shell fit the 6 ft Tacoma bed?
No. This version is built for the 5 ft bed on the 2024-2027 Tacoma only.
Can I still use the whole bed with the soft shell installed?
Yes. The design gives you full bed access without removing the top.
Can one person install and remove it?
The aluminum frame is light enough for one person to lift and operate, and it attaches with zippers and belt rails.
Can I open the rear window?
