Overland Vehicle Systems Warranty
At a glance: coverage depends on the line: limited lifetime on Expedition truck cap structure and XD awning frames, 6 years on XD tents and XD awning fabric, 4 years on HD tents and awnings, 2 years on LD tents
This is Overland Vehicle Systems's policy, not an NVMOS policy. OVS doesn't publish one warranty document. Its product pages say coverage and terms vary by product, so we've pulled the terms from each OVS product line's own pages and summarized them in plain English. Where an OVS page shows a generic warranty badge that disagrees with the product's own warranty text, we use the product text. The manufacturer's official terms always govern and can change without notice. Last reviewed on nvmos.com: October 15, 2026.

A Hot-Forged 3/4 in D-Ring Shackle Rated to 9,500 lb
Almost every recovery starts with a shackle connecting a strap to a recovery point. This 3/4 in D-ring is the connector that does that job, linking bumper mounts, straps, tree savers and snatch blocks into one safe system.
The bow is hot-forged steel with a 7/8 in pin, and it is rated at 4.75 tons, or 9,500 lb. The finish goes on in two stages, an electrostatic e-coat base under a heavy powder coat, so it resists rust and chipping after a season of mud and road salt. It is available in red, gray, black and zinc so you can match your bumper or pick something easy to spot in the dirt. See all our shackles and D-rings.
Universal. It fits bumpers with D-ring mounts and pairs with tow straps, recovery straps, tree savers, snatch blocks and receiver-mounted recovery points that accept a 3/4 in shackle.
OVS recommends carrying at least two shackles and a tow strap in every vehicle, and we agree. Each shackle weighs about 2 lb. Clean it with soap and water after a muddy day and check the pin threads before each use. Never exceed the rated load. Covered by the OVS warranty. Not sure it fits your setup? Call us at (920) 249-7744 and a real person will check it.
