How to make a King 4WD claim
- Have your proof of purchase or sales receipt ready; OVS asks for it with every warranty claim
- Photograph the defect and note your part number before you remove or ship anything
- Contact OVS Warranty Service by phone or email (below). OVS decides whether the item is defective and, if it is, repairs or replaces it with an equivalent product
- Freight deliveries (caps, racks, tents): inspect before you sign, note any damage on the bill of lading, and report damage or missing pieces within 24 hours

King 4WD TJ Soft Top, Top Only
If your TJ's upper door skins are still in good shape, there is no reason to pay for new ones. This is the King 4WD replacement soft top for the 1997-2006 Wrangler TJ without the upper doors: a new deck, rear window and side windows, ready to go onto your existing factory hardware.
The deck is a two-layer 24 oz marine-grade fabric, waterproof and UV stable, with a mildew-resistant treatment. Windows are pressed and polished DOT-approved flexible glass, seams are heat sealed over marine-grade stitching, the zippers are bindless, self-correcting and nylon reinforced, and the belt rails are high-impact plastic built not to crack. King 4WD builds these tops to CCFFA, SAE and FMVSS standards and puts the material through tensile, tear, adhesion, flex, abrasion, flammability, crock, stretch, UV and cold crack testing. Fits 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ, including X, SE, Sport, Sahara and Rubicon models. This version does not include upper door skins; if you need those too, look for the version with upper doors or the separate King 4WD TJ upper door skin pair.
Plan on 1 to 2 hours for the install. Unbox the top and let it sit in direct sun for about 20 minutes first; warm vinyl and fabric stretch into place much more easily, and King 4WD includes detailed instructions. You get the Black Diamond top deck, a 31 percent tinted rear window with dual zippers, and 31 percent tinted driver and passenger side windows. Upper door skins are not part of this kit. It reuses your factory original soft top hardware, so that hardware needs to be on the Jeep and in working order. Not sure it fits your setup? Do I need my old soft top frame and hardware?
Yes. This is a replacement top only, and King 4WD specifies that it mounts to the factory original soft top hardware.
How long does installation take?
King 4WD estimates 1 to 2 hours. Letting the top warm in the sun for about 20 minutes before you start makes it easier to stretch into place.
Can the windows be removed?
Yes. The rear window has dual zippers and the side windows also roll up or come out completely.
Does this include the upper door skins?
No. This version is the top only. King 4WD sells a TJ version with upper doors and a separate pair of TJ upper door skins.
