These are ICON's V.S. 2.5 Series remote reservoir front coilovers for the 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma, sold as a pair. Each one replaces the factory front shock and spring with an adjustable coilover offering 0-3.5 inches of lift height adjustment on 2005-2015 trucks and 0-2.75 inches on 2016-2023 trucks, which is what makes room for larger wheel and tire combinations.
Length and valving are specific to the Tacoma. ICON credits the 2.5-inch body and increased piston area over the factory parts for maximum travel and better ride quality on and off the road. The remote reservoirs add oil volume and cooling surface area to resist overheating, cavitation and the damper fade that follows under hard use.
The included Compression Damping Dual Speed (CDXS) valves give independent control of high-speed and low-speed compression, with 10 detented settings on each knob, so handling response and overall firmness can be set separately.
For balance, ICON recommends pairing these with its 2.0 or 2.5 Aluminum Series rear shocks so control stays even front to rear.
