- Ordering the wrong drop, shank size or weight rating (customer pays return shipping)
How to make a GEN-Y warranty claim
- If you bought from a dealer or other third party, start with that seller; GEN-Y asks third-party buyers to go through them first.
- Submit GEN-Y's Warranty/Exchange form or call GEN-Y with the product's model number.
- Have your purchase receipt ready to show the purchase date and that you are the original purchaser.
- Keep the hitch and all evidence of the defect until the claim is settled; losing that evidence can end the claim.
- Return the hitch only if GEN-Y directs you to, in its original packaging or equivalent; replaced hitches become GEN-Y's property.
