What's covered
- Defective products are replaced with the same item, or a comparable one if it's been discontinued
- Diode Dynamics may replace just the failed component
- Finish defects caused by manufacturing, during the first 3 years
- Moisture beyond normal condensation that points to a seal failure, at Diode Dynamics' discretion
- Free tech support for the life of the product, even after the warranty ends
What's not covered
- Normal condensation, and paint or coating wear from regular use
- Installation or labor costs
- Improper installation or use, abuse, or opening, rewiring or repairing a product
- Swapping lenses on Stage Series lights voids the 3-year coverage (the 8-year coverage stays)
- Purchases from unauthorized sellers; coverage is for the original buyer and isn't transferable
How to make a Diode Dynamics claim
- Keep your proof of purchase; every claim needs it (gift recipients can register within 90 days of the original purchase instead)
- Request an RMA through Diode Dynamics' returns portal and work through diagnosis with their support team
- Nothing goes back without an RMA number; include photos for moisture claims
- For US customers, Diode Dynamics covers shipping on 3-year claims, plus return shipping for inspection on 8-year and lifetime claims

Diode Dynamics switchback rounded-rectangle halos are LED rings for the many lamps built around a 4 x 6 inch format, sold as a pair. Switchback means one ring does white and amber; in white they put out a measured 1,030 lumens at 6000K and run at full brightness as a DRL. A phosphor coating keeps the ring looking like one solid line.
Why it works
- Bright enough for daylight: high-density LEDs that stay visible in direct sunlight.
- Even look: durable proprietary phosphor coating for a uniform, solid ring.
- Proper driver: external, waterproof, linear-regulated driver (2.5 x 1.38 x 0.88 in.).
- No error codes: Diode lists electrical compatibility as tested and confirmed with no electrical issues.
- Origin: engineered and assembled in USA.
Options
One configuration on this listing: 4 x 6 inch halo size, switchback color, part number DD2260 (pair). If you only want red, Diode also makes a red version of this ring.
Fitment
Universal for many 4 x 6 inch lamp applications; actual ring size is 5.3 x 3.5 inches. The halos go inside the lamp, so installation does require opening the factory headlamps. Wiring uses JST inline connectors and T-tap inputs.

Yes. The halos mount inside the lamp, so installation requires opening the factory headlamps.
