What's covered
- Defective products are replaced with the same item, or a comparable one if it's been discontinued

- Moisture beyond normal condensation that points to a seal failure, at Diode Dynamics' discretion
- Free tech support for the life of the product, even after the warranty ends
What's not covered
- Normal condensation, and paint or coating wear from regular use
- Installation or labor costs
- Improper installation or use, abuse, or opening, rewiring or repairing a product
- Swapping lenses on Stage Series lights voids the 3-year coverage (the 8-year coverage stays)
- Purchases from unauthorized sellers; coverage is for the original buyer and isn't transferable
How to make a Diode Dynamics claim
- Keep your proof of purchase; every claim needs it (gift recipients can register within 90 days of the original purchase instead)
- Request an RMA through Diode Dynamics' returns portal and work through diagnosis with their support team
- Nothing goes back without an RMA number; include photos for moisture claims
- For US customers, Diode Dynamics covers shipping on 3-year claims, plus return shipping for inspection on 8-year and lifetime claims

The Diode Dynamics SS5 White Sport LED Pod is one 5-inch Stage Series pod at the Sport power level, using engineered TIR optics with a selectable backlight with eight color options. It's a universal light for trucks and SUVs, and the built-in linking feature means SS5 pods can be joined into a bar up to 50 inches long later on.
Why it works
- Reach. Diode Dynamics rates the SS5 to throw light almost a mile with the right optic.
- Color with a purpose. 6000K white is the crisp, daylight-style color most people pick for picking out detail on a trail or job site.
- Grows with the build. The built-in CrossLink feature lets you link SS5 pods side by side into a light bar up to 50 inches.
- Built to take abuse. Aluminum casting, polycarbonate lens, rubber gasket, pin-fin passive cooling, IP69K high-pressure waterproof rating and SAE J575 durability testing.
- Clean wiring. Deutsch DT input and a constant-current driver; assembled in USA.
Options
- Beam pattern: Spot — a tight beam that reaches the farthest down the trail; Combo — mixes spot reach with flood spread in one light; Flood — a broad, even spread for lighting up close to the vehicle; Driving — a long-reach pattern with some side spill, the usual pick for forward lighting.
- Backlight: selectable color with eight options, per Diode Dynamics.
- Power level: Sport (40 watts main beam). Pro is the higher-output version if you need more.
- Quantity: one pod; Diode Dynamics also sells it as a pair.
Fitment
Universal. Mount it on a bumper, rack or bracket on any truck or SUV with a solid surface and a wiring path. It runs on 9–16V and is polarity specific, so wire it positive to positive.

Which beam pattern should I choose?
Spot for maximum distance, Driving for long reach with some side spill, Combo for a mix of reach and spread, Flood for area lighting close to the vehicle.
Sport or Pro?
Sport runs a 40-watt main beam; Pro runs 90 watts with substantially more output, and draws about 6.7 amps instead of roughly 2.8. Same size and connector.
Can I turn these into a light bar later?
