What's covered
- Defective products are replaced with the same item, or a comparable one if it's been discontinued

- Moisture beyond normal condensation that points to a seal failure, at Diode Dynamics' discretion
- Free tech support for the life of the product, even after the warranty ends
What's not covered
- Normal condensation, and paint or coating wear from regular use
- Installation or labor costs
- Improper installation or use, abuse, or opening, rewiring or repairing a product
- Swapping lenses on Stage Series lights voids the 3-year coverage (the 8-year coverage stays)
- Purchases from unauthorized sellers; coverage is for the original buyer and isn't transferable
How to make a Diode Dynamics claim
- Keep your proof of purchase; every claim needs it (gift recipients can register within 90 days of the original purchase instead)
- Request an RMA through Diode Dynamics' returns portal and work through diagnosis with their support team
- Nothing goes back without an RMA number; include photos for moisture claims
- For US customers, Diode Dynamics covers shipping on 3-year claims, plus return shipping for inspection on 8-year and lifetime claims

The Diode Dynamics SS5 Add-On LED Pod is a single Stage Series SS5 pod, sold without brackets, for adding to an existing setup or building your own. It uses engineered TIR optics, an IP69K-rated housing and a built-in linking feature that lets SS5 pods join into a bar up to 50 inches. It is universal and fits any truck or SUV you can mount it to.
Why it works
The SS5 is the big pod in the Stage Series. Total internal reflection optics shape the beam instead of just throwing light around, and the pin-fin heatsink keeps the LEDs cool passively. It has passed the SAE J575 durability test and carries an IP69K high-pressure waterproof rating. The backlight is selectable across eight colors. Because this is the no-bracket version, it makes sense when you are adding a pod to a CrossLink bar or already have mounts.
Options
Pick an optic and color, then a power level:
- Optic: Spot for distance, Flood for wide close-in light, Combo for a mix, and Driving for a road-style pattern.
- Color: White (6000K) or Yellow (3000K). Yellow is easier on the eyes in snow, dust and fog.
- Sport (40 watts) or Pro (90 watts). In white driving, Sport measures 3,800 lm and Pro measures 9,600 lm.

Warranty
Diode Dynamics covers this pod with a limited lifetime warranty. If something goes wrong, the defect is diagnosed with Diode Dynamics and the pod is replaced if needed. Details are on our Diode Dynamics warranty page.

Does this come with brackets?
No. This is the no-bracket version, meant for adding to a linked SS5 bar or to mounts you already have. Diode sells an SS5 Universal Bracket Kit separately.
Sport or Pro?
Sport draws 40 watts and Pro draws 90. In the white driving optic, Sport measures 3,800 lumens and Pro measures 9,600.
Can I link several of these together?
Yes. The SS5 has a built-in linking feature to build a bar of up to 50 inches.
How should I wire it?
