What's covered
- Defective products are replaced with the same item, or a comparable one if it's been discontinued

- Moisture beyond normal condensation that points to a seal failure, at Diode Dynamics' discretion
- Free tech support for the life of the product, even after the warranty ends
What's not covered
- Normal condensation, and paint or coating wear from regular use
- Installation or labor costs
- Improper installation or use, abuse, or opening, rewiring or repairing a product
- Swapping lenses on Stage Series lights voids the 3-year coverage (the 8-year coverage stays)
- Purchases from unauthorized sellers; coverage is for the original buyer and isn't transferable
How to make a Diode Dynamics claim
- Keep your proof of purchase; every claim needs it (gift recipients can register within 90 days of the original purchase instead)
- Request an RMA through Diode Dynamics' returns portal and work through diagnosis with their support team
- Nothing goes back without an RMA number; include photos for moisture claims
- For US customers, Diode Dynamics covers shipping on 3-year claims, plus return shipping for inspection on 8-year and lifetime claims

The Diode Dynamics SS3 White Sport Flush Mount LED Pod is a compact Stage Series LED pod that throws 6000K white light through TIR optics, with an amber or red backlight glow around the main beam. This listing is a matched pair of pods. The flush-mount housing is designed to sit flush in a bumper or truck bed, so the light looks built in instead of bolted on.
Why it works
- Optics: TIR optics built for efficiency and a well-focused beam, so the output goes into the pattern you picked instead of spilling everywhere.
- Housing: powdercoated aluminum casting, polycarbonate lens and a rubber gasket, rated IP69K for high-pressure water.
- Cooling: passive pin-fin heatsink, with a constant-current driver feeding the LEDs. No fan to fail.
- Connector: integrated Deutsch-style DT input, so wiring is plug-in rather than splice-and-hope.
- Origin: Made in USA with global materials.

- SAE Driving — a focused, long-reaching pattern built to the SAE driving-light standard.
- SAE Fog — a wide, low pattern built to the SAE fog standard, meant for rain, snow and fog where you want light on the ground rather than in your eyes.
- Flood — wide, even near-field light for work areas, camp and slow trail speeds.
- Combo/Driving — a blend of long-reaching center and wider spread, the all-rounder if you only run one set.
Backlight comes in amber or red, but not every beam is offered in both. The combinations available here:

Sport vs Pro: this is the Sport, drawing 14.5 W on the main beam (1.1 A at 12.8V). For reference, Diode publishes these per-pod numbers for the white SS3 family:
- Sport driving: 1,520 lm measured (2,262 lm raw), 54,700 cd peak intensity
- Pro driving: 3,000 lm measured (5,796 lm raw), 66,500 cd peak intensity
Fitment
Universal. Flush installation means cutting a clean opening in a bumper or bed panel, so measure before you commit — the SS3 flush housing is 3.75 x 4.75 x 2.4 in. The pod is polarity specific, so mind positive and negative when you wire it.

Is this one pod or two?
Two. The pair is a matched set with the same beam pattern and backlight color on both pods.
Which beam pattern should I pick?
SAE Driving: a focused, long-reaching pattern built to the SAE driving-light standard. SAE Fog: a wide, low pattern built to the SAE fog standard, meant for rain, snow and fog where you want light on the ground rather than in your eyes. Flood: wide, even near-field light for work areas, camp and slow trail speeds. Combo/Driving: a blend of long-reaching center and wider spread, the all-rounder if you only run one set.
What does the backlight do?
It adds an amber or red accent glow to the pod. It is a low-draw circuit, 0.4 W versus 14.5 W for the main beam. Diode's Heavy Duty Dual Output 4-pin Wiring Harness is built to power its pods with backlight functionality.
How does flush mounting work?
The flush housing is made to sit in an opening in a bumper or truck bed. That means cutting the panel, so measure carefully; the SS3 flush housing measures 3.75 x 4.75 x 2.4 in.
Is it waterproof?
Yes. It is rated IP69K, which covers high-pressure water, with a rubber-gasketed polycarbonate lens on an aluminum housing.
