What's covered
- Defective products are replaced with the same item, or a comparable one if it's been discontinued
- Diode Dynamics may replace just the failed component

- Moisture beyond normal condensation that points to a seal failure, at Diode Dynamics' discretion
- Free tech support for the life of the product, even after the warranty ends
What's not covered
- Normal condensation, and paint or coating wear from regular use
- Installation or labor costs
- Improper installation or use, abuse, or opening, rewiring or repairing a product
- Swapping lenses on Stage Series lights voids the 3-year coverage (the 8-year coverage stays)
- Purchases from unauthorized sellers; coverage is for the original buyer and isn't transferable
How to make a Diode Dynamics claim
- Keep your proof of purchase; every claim needs it (gift recipients can register within 90 days of the original purchase instead)
- Request an RMA through Diode Dynamics' returns portal and work through diagnosis with their support team
- Nothing goes back without an RMA number; include photos for moisture claims
- For US customers, Diode Dynamics covers shipping on 3-year claims, plus return shipping for inspection on 8-year and lifetime claims

The Diode Dynamics HitchMount LED Pod (No Harness) is the hitch-receiver mount and pod without the 7-pin wiring harness. It holds an SSC1 or C1R LED pod in any 2-inch or 2.5-inch trailer hitch receiver to add a strong reverse light, a fourth brake light and an extra running light. It is universal, and it suits trucks that already have a harness or need a different one.
Why it works
The hitch receiver is a solid, centered mounting point that every towing truck already has. The HitchMount uses it for a compact pod, so there is no drilling and the light sits right where you need it when backing up. Optional SafetyStrobe brake light strobing adds attention-getting flashes under braking. It is designed and assembled in the USA.

- C1 (DD7420NH): SSC1 Sport pod. Measured 1,030 lm, 400 cd, 12.8W.
- C1R + Brake (DD7422NH): C1R pod with red output. Measured 1,080 lm, 480 cd, 14.1W.
Wiring
This version does not include a harness. Diode Dynamics makes a Stage Series 7-pin single-output harness for C1 HitchMount pods and a C1R/C2R 7-pin single-output kit for C1R HitchMount pods. If you want everything in one box, the HitchMount 7-Pin Reverse Kit includes the harness.

Is a wiring harness included?
No. This is the no-harness version. The HitchMount 7-Pin Reverse Kit includes one.
Which harness do I need?
For the C1 pod, the Stage Series 7-pin single-output harness. For the C1R pod, the C1R/C2R 7-pin single-output kit.
What receiver sizes does it fit?
2-inch and 2.5-inch trailer hitch receivers.
C1 or C1R + Brake?
