What's covered
- Defective products are replaced with the same item, or a comparable one if it's been discontinued
- Diode Dynamics may replace just the failed component
- Finish defects caused by manufacturing, during the first 3 years
- Moisture beyond normal condensation that points to a seal failure, at Diode Dynamics' discretion
- Free tech support for the life of the product, even after the warranty ends
What's not covered
- Normal condensation, and paint or coating wear from regular use
- Installation or labor costs
- Improper installation or use, abuse, or opening, rewiring or repairing a product
- Swapping lenses on Stage Series lights voids the 3-year coverage (the 8-year coverage stays)
- Purchases from unauthorized sellers; coverage is for the original buyer and isn't transferable
How to make a Diode Dynamics claim
- Keep your proof of purchase; every claim needs it (gift recipients can register within 90 days of the original purchase instead)
- Request an RMA through Diode Dynamics' returns portal and work through diagnosis with their support team
- Nothing goes back without an RMA number; include photos for moisture claims
- For US customers, Diode Dynamics covers shipping on 3-year claims, plus return shipping for inspection on 8-year and lifetime claims

The Diode Dynamics Kuat DEK Upgrade Kit adds integrated Diode Dynamics lighting to a Kuat DEK roof rack. Pick the width that matches your rack and the light you want, and the kit brings the wiring harnesses and mounting hardware needed to put it in.
Why it works
If you already run a DEK, there is no reason to buy a whole new rack to get lights in it. This kit uses the same lighting options as the factory-integrated Diode Dynamics x Kuat DEK: an SS5 CrossLink pod bar or a Stage Series light bar, both IP69K rated with Deutsch DT connectors. The lights carry Diode Dynamics’ limited lifetime warranty.

- 47 in wide racks: 7-pod White SS5 CrossLink (Sport), or an SS40 light bar in White or Dual-Color, Sport or Pro.
- 54 in wide racks: 8-pod White SS5 CrossLink (Sport), or an SS50 light bar in White or Dual-Color, Sport or Pro.
Fitment
Universal to Kuat DEK roof racks in 47-inch or 54-inch widths. Measure your rack’s width before ordering.
