The Rock Runner is C4 Fabrication's high-clearance front bumper, and this version is built for the 2024+ 4th Gen Toyota Tacoma. Unlike the bolt-together 3rd Gen design, the 4th Gen bumper is fully welded as one piece, so there are no seams between the center section and the wings. It tucks up tight to improve approach angle and leaves more room for larger tires, which is the whole point of a Rock Runner.
You pick the corners. Plate sides give the most protection at the front corners but have no light mounts. Tube sides cut weight, open up the corners, and add mounts for Baja Designs Squadron, S2 and S1 style pods (other brands may not line up perfectly). An optional low bull bar in 1-3/4 in tubing is available on either style.
The winch sits in a concealed mount that takes most 8,000 to 12,000 lb winches, with cutouts in the face for reaching the winch lever. The winch control pack has to be relocated off the winch. C4 recommends synthetic rope with a hawse fairlead, since some roller fairleads are too large for the recessed mount. Recovery points are 3/4 in D-ring tabs welded front and back. A winch cover plate, a bridge skid that ties into C4's 4th Gen Tacoma front skid plates, and plugs for trucks without parking sensors are included.
Fitment notes worth reading before you order: install requires trimming the plastic bumper, and factory fog lights are not retained. The bumper works with Toyota Safety Sense, adaptive cruise and the factory parking sensors, though some trucks may need a professional TSS recalibration afterward. It clears the factory skid plate and does not block the front camera.
Raw bumpers ship as bare steel and need paint or powder coat before they see weather. The powder coat option is a 2-stage hammer black. Plan on about four hours with two people for the install; C4 rates it 3.5 out of 5 for difficulty. Made in the USA. The bumper ships freight at roughly 160 lb, and it's built to order, so check current lead times or call us at (920) 249-7744 if you have a date to hit.
