The ARB Air Locker is a pneumatically operated differential that gives you a locked axle on demand. When engaged, it keeps the internal gears from rotating so both wheels turn with the ring gear. When unlocked, it works like an open differential, with no effect on on-road manners or driveline wear.
It activates at any speed, which makes it easy to use as the terrain changes. The two-piece design has few moving parts, the patented locking mechanism unlocks quickly, and the annular seal is steel reinforced and elastomer bonded for extreme temperatures.
This is the rear unit for the 3rd Gen Tundra 9.5 inch axle.
Plan the compressor and wiring into your build, since the locker needs air to operate and the compressor is a separate purchase.
