Jeep Wrangler

No platform matches the Wrangler's ceiling for capability — solid axles, removable everything, and the deepest aftermarket in off-road. NVMOS carries 1,300+ year-filtered Wrangler parts across generations from YJ to JL: Teraflex and Clayton Off Road suspension, Falcon shocks, DV8 bumpers and armor, tops and doors, LED lighting, drivetrain reinforcement, and interior storage. Whether it's a weekend crawler or a cross-country overlander, filter by your generation and build from parts that actually fit.

Building a Wrangler that overlands

Wranglers are born capable and cargo-poor. The overland build order flips the usual script: solve storage and payload first (drawer systems and lock boxes, a rack or tire-carrier solution), then lift only as much as your tires require. Short wheelbase and light payload mean every pound must earn its spot.

Suspension: geometry is everything

Solid axles reward proper engineering and punish spacer stacks. Clayton Off Road arms and Teraflex systems keep caster, pinion angle, and track-bar geometry right, and Falcon shocks are tuned for Jeep dynamics specifically. For 35s on a JL, 2.5" of quality lift does it; 37s want 3.5"+ and supporting drivetrain reinforcement.

Generations at a glance

JL (2018+) is the refined modern platform with the broadest new-part support. JK (2007–2018) remains a value monster with a colossal aftermarket. TJ and YJ reward purists — and our steering and track-bar hardware keeps the classics tight.

Popular Wrangler upgrades

Lift kits, rock sliders, tops and doors for the open-air months, winches, lockers and gearing, and switch systems to run it all.

Jeep Wrangler FAQs

Do JK and JL Wrangler parts interchange?

Almost never. The JL (2018+) changed the frame, axles, electronics, and body mounts, so suspension, bumpers, and armor are generation-specific. Even lookalike parts (fenders, tops) differ in mounting. Every listing here is generation- and year-filtered — trust the filter, not the photo.

How much lift does a Wrangler need for 35s or 37s?

On a JL: 35s fit with 2–2.5" (Rubicons barely need that), and 37s want 3.5"+ plus supporting mods — regearing, possibly axle reinforcement. On a JK add roughly an inch to those numbers. Geometry correction (arms, track bars) matters more than the number on the box; that's Teraflex and Clayton territory.

What's the difference between a budget lift and a Teraflex or Clayton system?

Geometry and damping. Budget kits raise the Jeep; engineered systems relocate control-arm angles, correct caster for stable steering, keep the track bar centered, and pair springs with shocks tuned for the platform. On the highway that's the difference between confident and darty; on the trail it's flex you can use.

Are Wranglers actually good overland rigs despite the small cargo area?

Yes, with discipline. A 4-door JL with a drawer system, roof or tire-carrier storage, and a rooftop tent is a proven world-travel platform — the capability floor is so high that route options open up everywhere. The constraint is payload (~1,000 lbs on many trims), so weigh the build and spring for it.

Soft top, hard top, or half doors for trail season?

Run what your climate and security needs allow: soft tops and half doors are the full Jeep experience and pack small; hard tops win on noise, insulation, and locking storage. Many owners keep both and swap seasonally — our tops and doors range covers each path, filtered by generation.
