The Factor 55 UltraHook Rope Guard attaches to the UltraHook to shield your synthetic winch rope from UV light, impact and abrasion. It's aimed at hardcore off-roaders and off-road trainers whose winch setups take a beating.
With the guard installed, all exposed synthetic rope sits behind the guard and fairlead, and the guard can act as a skid surface when you climb tall vertical obstacles. Installation is a DIY job: take the UltraHook off the line, pop out its rubber pieces, set the four included drive rivets with a 1/4" punch until the posts are flush, then reinstall the rubber pads on the opposing side.
