The DRIFTR is Backwoods Adventure Mods' modular roof rack for the 2005–2023 2nd and 3rd Gen Toyota Tacoma Double Cab. It is built from thick 1/4" aluminum, sits low, and adds no height above the factory antenna, so the truck still fits where it fit before.
The point of the DRIFTR is the ecosystem: triple-slotted extrusions and roll-in T-nuts let you put awning brackets, traction board mounts, deck panels and lights exactly where you want them, and add more later.
Why it works
- 1/4" aluminum — 46 lb for the whole rack.
- Rated 300 lb dynamic / 700 lb static, enough for a rooftop tent, fuel cans or storage boxes.
- Five 1x3 triple-slotted extrusions (one stiffens the front fairing) with roll-in T-nut hardware.
- Adjustable front fairing, plus 1/4" and 3/8" slotted cutouts on the front and rear fairings for lights.
- Rear chase light pockets sized for Baja Designs S1/S2-type lights; the cutouts are optional tabs.
- Side rail handle cutouts and pre-drilled side slots so extrusions can sit anywhere along the rack.
- Made in the USA.

What accessories mount to it?
