TeraFlex pitches this kit at short-wheelbase TJ Wrangler and Unlimited owners who have wanted a better rear driveline for years. It improves on the strength of the stock arrangement and increases driveshaft length by up to 7" over a stock application.
Fitment
Listed for the Jeep Wrangler TJ (1997-2006) with the NP231 transfer case. The extra shaft length is the main attraction on a short-wheelbase model.
Install notes
The kit must be used with a CV style (double cardan) driveshaft. It requires a converter box to calibrate the speedometer, and earlier NP231 applications that use a mechanical speedometer cable must be updated to an electronic speedometer. Those two items are easy to overlook, so factor them into your parts list and your budget before committing.
