This is the tie rod half of TeraFlex's High Steer HD Aluminum steering upgrade for the TJ. It is made from 1.5" hexagonal 6061-T6 aluminum, which offers higher specific strength than 1018 steel. The yield strength is 45,000 lbs. at roughly one third the weight of steel, and the aluminum flexes about three times as far as steel before returning to its original shape.
Fitment
Listed for the Jeep Wrangler TJ (1997-2006). It is sold with stock taper ends, offset. Used together, the High Steer HD Aluminum Drag Link and Tie Rod can convert the stock steering to a cross steer or flipped steering layout. The matching drag link is not included.
Install notes
Requires the TeraFlex TJ Dana 30/44 High Steer Knuckle (4828490) and the TJ High Steer HD Aluminum Drag Link Kit (4920244). None of those are included, so plan the whole steering system before ordering.
