The factory front upper shock mount on TJ, XJ, ZJ and MJ Jeeps uses a stem-and-eyelet setup. This TeraFlex kit converts it to eyelet-eyelet, which opens up a wider range of shocks and shock lengths. It solves a shock selection problem; it does not add any lift on its own.
Why it works
- Eyelet-eyelet conversion: replaces the stem-style upper mount.
- More shock options: more shocks and lengths to choose from once converted.
Fitment
1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ, 1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ, 1993-1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ and 1986-1992 Jeep Comanche MJ, front upper shock mount.
Install notes
The kit installs in place of the factory shock stem. The vendor information gives no further install requirements. TeraFlex also sells a front lower bar pin eliminator kit for the other end of the shock.
