The Alpha HD Hinged Spare Tire Carrier and Alpha HD Adjustable Spare Tire Mount together secure up to a 37 inch tire and wheel combo to the tailgate. The design is patented (USPTO D6982240), keeps single-handed entry to the rear cargo area, and allows easy fore/aft and height adjustments. This listing is the adjustable mount for the 5x5 inch bolt pattern, and TeraFlex describes it as built to hold the spare over extreme trails and rugged terrain.
Fitment
Made for the 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. TeraFlex lists it under its JK line, and the vendor data ties it to the JK chassis only, so it is not a fit for the older TJ or the newer JL. The Alpha HD Hinged Spare Tire Carrier Kit is sold separately.

Requires aftermarket wheels with 5 inches of backspacing or less, or the Alpha HD Hinged Spare Tire Carrier Wheel Spacer Kit (1055005) if you are using stock wheels.
