The SLATE is Tackform's metal tablet cradle, here paired with a windshield suction base and a rigid flex arm in 10" or 14". It supports Samsung Galaxy, iPad and a wide range of other tablets with screens from 6" to 16", measured diagonally.
The arm is Tackform's rigid flex style: industrial-grade aluminum that holds its position without sagging. It is meant to be set up and left alone rather than moved around, and it takes two hands to adjust. Long arms can sway on a moving vehicle, so an adhesive-backed stabilizer is included to anchor the arm to your dashboard.
The suction base has an ABS plastic body, an aluminum 20mm ball and a locking aluminum lever to adjust the grip. The 3.5-inch suction pad is replaceable when it wears out, and it works best on clean, smooth surfaces such as a windshield.
The spring-loaded cradle expands from 5.25" to 10.25" in height. If your tablet is taller than that, mount it horizontally in the grips and rotate it for a diagonal view. An adjustable support leg lets you fine-tune the height and positioning. Tackform notes the cradle is not compatible with the Galaxy View.
Fitment
Not vehicle-specific. It is a 20 Series, 20mm ball system and is not suitable for 25.4mm / 1" / B-sized balls.
