This adapter swaps the belt clip on a Midland or Cobra handheld radio for a magnetic mounting point. It is a core piece of Tackform's magnetic system for CB mics and handheld radios: put this on the radio, put a magnetic receiver in the vehicle, and the radio docks with a quick-release hold that stays put.
It is designed for Tackform's 20 Series platform, built around the 20mm ball and socket system. Tackform says its parts are tested for durability and carry engineered load capacities with a safety factor that other 20mm makers do not guarantee.
Fitment
Not universal. It only fits select Midland and Cobra radios. Confirmed models, from a list Tackform says is not complete: Midland GXT3000, GXT1000, GXT1030, GXT67, LXT600, LXT630, MXT295 Pro, T10, T31, T51, T61, T71, T75 and T77; Cobra ACXT145, ACXT345, ACXT360, ACXT545, ACXT645, HE150, RX100, RX180, RX380, RX680, TrailBlazer 250 and TrailBlazer 450.
Install notes
Remove the radio's OEM belt clip and fit this adapter in its place. The magnetic receiver is sold separately, so budget for that as well.
