This is Tackform's commercial drill-base tablet mount: a round AMPS base with the 26 Series all-metal ball and socket, carrying a magnetic universal tablet holder. It is pitched at law enforcement, EMS, waste management, agriculture and powersports, and Tackform lists a lifetime warranty.
The 6061-T6 aluminum round AMPS base supports drilling or bolting, and Tackform says the plate is twice as thick as thinner competitor plates, with heavy-duty hardware at the ball connection. Each kit has a metal backing plate with integrated nuts, four self-tapping screws and four machine screws, and Tackform recommends the backing plate for fleet installs done by a shop.
The tablet holder is magnetic: ten neodymium magnets sit in a powder-coated steel housing, with a non-marring rubber pad against the tablet. The kit includes metal plates, and one has to be stuck to the back of your tablet or its case so the magnets have something to grip.
Fitment
Not vehicle-specific. Arm options: 4.25" no elbow, 5.25" with elbow, 7.75" with elbow, or a short reach version. It is a 26 Series system with a 26mm metal ball.
