This is Tackform's commercial-grade drill base for AMPS devices, built around a round AMPS base and the 26 Series all-metal ball and socket. Tackform aims it at high-vibration work such as law enforcement, EMS, waste management, agriculture and powersports, and lists a lifetime warranty on the product.
The round AMPS base can be installed by drilling or bolting. Tackform says the plate is twice as thick as thinner competitor plates and is reinforced with heavy-duty hardware at the ball connection. Each kit includes a metal backing plate with integrated nuts, four self-tapping screws and four machine screws. The backing plate route is the one Tackform recommends if you are paying an installer to outfit a fleet.
The holder plate uses the industry-standard AMPS hole pattern of 30mm x 38mm (1.181" x 1.496"). The holes take M4, M5, 10-24, 10-32 and #8 plastic screws, plus other self-threading screws up to 5.2mm in diameter. The plate is CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum, works with 20mm ball and socket systems, and has a base-to-ball center measurement of 1.14 inches.
Fitment
Not vehicle-specific; it needs a surface you can drill or bolt to. Arms: 4.25" with no elbow, 5.25" with an elbow, 7.75" with an elbow. It is a 26 Series, 26mm system.
