If you run a GME GMRS mobile radio, this holder lets you hang its microphone from a 20mm ball-and-socket arm instead of the stock magnetic bracket. It is a quick-swap conversion built from 6061-T6 aluminum, with a 20mm metal ball already fitted.
The idea is to reuse the magnet from GME's own bracket. You take apart the OEM magnetic microphone mounting bracket, pull the magnet out of it, and install that magnet into the Tackform holder. The mic then docks magnetically the way it did before, but on a mount that can go anywhere your 20 Series arms and bases reach.
Fitment
This holder requires the OEM Magnetic Microphone Mounting Bracket (MB207) that ships with a GME GMRS Mobile Radio. Without that bracket you have no magnet to move over, so it will not work on its own. It is not vehicle-specific.
Install notes
Assembly is required. Disassemble the OEM bracket (not included), remove its magnet, then install the magnet into the Tackform holder. Arms and bases for the 20mm ball are sold separately.
