This is a floor-mount tablet setup for trucks, including semis: a drill-down base, a rigid flex arm and a magnetic tablet holder that works with a wide range of tablets. Installation is straightforward, with the hardware included and a drill bit provided.
The arm is Tackform's rigid flex style: industrial-grade aluminum that holds its position without sagging. It is meant to be set up and left alone rather than moved around, and it takes two hands to adjust. Long arms can sway on a moving vehicle, so an adhesive-backed stabilizer is included to anchor the arm to your dashboard or center console.
The tablet holder is magnetic: ten neodymium magnets sit in a powder-coated steel housing, with a non-marring rubber pad against the tablet. The kit includes metal plates, and one has to be stuck to the back of your tablet or its case so the magnets have something to grip.
Fitment
Not vehicle-specific. It mounts to the floor of a truck or any rigid surface. Arm lengths: 10", 14", 18", 22" and 26". It is a 26 Series, 26mm ball system, and is not suitable for 1" / B-sized / 25.4mm balls.
Install notes
It is a drill-down mount, so check what is below the surface first, and stick the metal plate to your tablet or case before you first dock it.
