A Diamond AMPS mount puts a 17mm metal ball on a compact drill base so a device mount can connect directly, with no intermediary arm. It suits phone mounts and other lightweight platforms that use 17mm sockets, and the result is an ultra-short reach setup with maximum rigidity.
The foundation is 6061-T6 aluminum, which gives strength and corrosion resistance, and the socket or ball is a composite part. The hybrid build is light but stays rigid.
Fitment
Universal. The two-hole AMPS pattern accommodates M4, M5, 10-24, 10-32, #8 plastic screws and other self-threading screws up to 5.2mm in diameter. Intended for lightweight 17mm socket mounts such as phone mounts.
Install notes
This mount does not include mounting hardware. Choose screws that suit your mounting surface and the hole sizes above.
Because the ball sits right on the AMPS plate, this is the shortest-reach way to carry a 17mm device mount. If you need distance from the surface, you will want an arm and a different base. It suits setups where the mount point is already close to where the device should sit.
