The AM01-20L-BK is a drill-base dashboard phone mount made of three Tackform parts: the CR-01L-20 20 Lite cradle, a 4.75" aluminum modular arm and a four-hole AMPS base with a 20mm ball and install kit. The base has been vibration and lifecycle tested in rough terrain.
The cradle is CNC-machined aluminum with stainless steel pins and springs. Its silicone grips clip in and attach mechanically to the housing rather than relying on adhesive, which Tackform points to as a common failure point on other cradles. It opens to hold phones from 2.25" to 3.75" wide and up to 0.6" thick, including in large cases, and the spring tension is tuned so you can load and remove the phone with one hand.
The 4.75" arm (TF-AR-08) has two articulating 20mm ball-and-socket joints and a locking elbow. That elbow also lets you add the TF-AR-04 extension if you need more reach.
Fitment
Universal. It suits most phones including iPhone and Galaxy models, but not the Galaxy Fold.

Will it hold a phone in a thick case?
Yes. The cradle opens wide enough for large protective cases within the 3.75" width and 0.6" thickness limits.
Does it work with the Galaxy Fold?
No. Tackform states it will not work with the Galaxy Fold.
Can I make the arm longer?
The locking elbow on the arm accepts Tackform's TF-AR-04, which extends overall length.
Do I have to drill?
Yes, the AMPS base is a drill-mount and the install kit is included.
