This double ball adapter turns an 8.5mm ball connection into a 20mm one, so a Garmin dash cam or any other device that takes an 8.5mm ball can ride on Tackform's 20 Series socket system. It is the practical way to swap a plastic factory mount for a solid all-aluminum arrangement.
The adapter is CNC machined from aluminum. It is built for Tackform's 20 Series platform, based on the 20mm ball and socket. It works with other 20mm products, and Tackform says its parts are tested for load capacity with a safety factor not guaranteed by other makers.
Fitment
Universal. Tackform lists compatibility with the Garmin Dash Cam 45, 46 and 47; 55 and 57; 65W, 66W and 67W; the Dash Cam Tandem; and Garmin Speak and Speak Plus. It also suits any device that accepts an 8.5mm ball. It is not suitable for 25.4mm (1", B-size) balls.
Install notes
Arms and bases are sold separately.
