The Tufskinz Tailgate Handle Letter Overlays are a six-piece set that lays over the factory lettering on the tailgate handle of your 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma, giving the OEM text a raised, color-matched finish. Choose from 33 colors to blend the letters into your paint or set them off with contrast. Each piece is domed for depth and holds with 3M automotive-grade adhesive. Doing the inside too? The Rear Seat Cubby Foam Inserts fit the same generation.
Features
- Six-piece kit that overlays the factory tailgate handle letters
- Domed, raised design for dimensional lettering
- 3M automotive-grade adhesive for a peel-and-stick hold
- 33 finishes available, including Army Green, Cavalry Blue, and Lunar Rock
- Covers and protects the OEM lettering underneath
- Cut for the 2016-2023 (3rd Gen) Tacoma
- Made in the USA
Installation
Set aside about 15 minutes. There is no drilling or cutting; clean each letter, peel the overlay, and press it onto the 3M adhesive. Working one piece at a time keeps everything lined up, so it is beginner-friendly.

Tailgate Handle Letter Overlays Fits 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma FAQs
Will these fit my Toyota Tacoma?
Yes, for the 2016-2023 Tacoma (3rd Gen). The overlays are shaped to that generation's tailgate handle lettering and are not universal, so check your year before buying. They do not fit the 2024-2026 truck.
How hard are they to put on?
The kit installs in about 15 minutes with no tools. You clean the letters, peel each domed overlay, and press it onto the 3M adhesive, one piece at a time so alignment stays simple.
Do these cover or replace the factory letters?
They lay over the existing letters, so nothing is removed and the OEM surface is protected underneath. There is no drilling; the 3M adhesive holds them in place.
