The Tufskinz Tailgate Letter Inserts are a six-piece set that fills the stamped TACOMA lettering on the tailgate of your 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma, turning flat factory text into raised, color-matched letters. Pick from 38 finishes to blend the letters into your paint or make them the focal point of the tailgate. Each domed insert seats into the factory letters and holds with 3M automotive-grade adhesive. Finishing the interior too? The Rear Seat Cubby Foam Inserts fit the same truck.
Features
- Six-piece kit that seats into the factory TACOMA tailgate lettering
- Domed, raised design for bold, dimensional letters
- 3M automotive-grade adhesive backing for a peel-and-stick hold
- 38 finishes, including Army Green, Cavalry Blue, and Lunar Rock
- Cut for the 2016-2023 (3rd Gen) Tacoma tailgate
- Made in the USA
Installation
Give it about 15 minutes. No drilling or cutting is needed; clean each letter recess, peel the insert, and press it into place on the 3M adhesive. Going one letter at a time keeps the spacing clean, so it suits first-time installers.
Fitment
These inserts fit the 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma (3rd Gen) tailgate lettering and are not universal. See coordinating accents in our full Toyota Tacoma collection.

Tailgate Letter Inserts Fits 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma FAQs
Will these fit my Toyota Tacoma?
They are made for the 2016-2023 Tacoma (3rd Gen) tailgate lettering. They will not fit the 2024-2026 truck, so confirm your model year before ordering. The set is vehicle-specific, not universal.
Can I match the letters to my paint?
Yes. With 38 finishes, including OE-match colors like Cavalry Blue and Lunar Rock, you can blend the letters into your paint or choose a contrasting shade to make them pop.
Do the inserts replace the factory letters?
No. They seat into the existing stamped lettering, so nothing is removed and the factory surface stays protected. There is no drilling; the 3M adhesive holds each insert in place.
