- Improper installation, alteration, abuse, neglect or accidents
- Corrosion and normal wear
- Off-road damage (with some exceptions RCI decides case by case)
- Freight, labor, installation or downtime costs
- Hook marks from hanging parts for coating, unless the finish fails

- Write a description of the damage and take clear photos
- Include a copy of the original invoice
- RCI inspects the part and decides whether to repair or replace it

The lower rear shock mounts on a Tacoma hang down where rocks, ledges and stumps like to find them. These RCI skids put a steel guard around those mounts so a hit lands on the plate rather than on the mount. The kit is a driver and passenger pair with a heavy-duty black powder coat finish, made in the USA.
RCI lists compatibility with OEM, Icon, Fox, King, Eibach and Bilstein shocks, along with many others, which makes them a reasonable add-on whether you are stock or running an aftermarket setup.

Fitment
All 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma models. RCI notes the skids may not work with every rear suspension brand, so if you have a particular setup it is worth confirming first. They do not fit Icon RXT rear shocks with a side-mounted eyelet.
