What's covered
- Defects in material and craftsmanship on the part's structure, for as long as the original purchaser owns it

- Improper installation, alteration, abuse, neglect or accidents
- Corrosion and normal wear
- Off-road damage (with some exceptions RCI decides case by case)

- Hook marks from hanging parts for coating, unless the finish fails
How to make an RCI warranty claim
- Write a description of the damage and take clear photos
- Include a copy of the original invoice
- RCI inspects the part and decides whether to repair or replace it

The fuel tank runs about six feet of the truck, which makes it an obvious thing to protect. This plate is custom fit to the tank of 2009-2014 F-150s and covers both the 36 gallon and 26 gallon tanks. It is black powder coated in the steel version, and it bolts to existing factory attachment points.
Wheelbase matters here. The plate fits 145, 157 and 163 inch wheelbase trucks, and the 36 gallon option is the one to choose for those wheelbases even if your truck has the 26 gallon tank, because it is the same part. It does not fit regular cab short bed (125 inch wheelbase) trucks.
Fitment
Fits 2009-2014 Ford F-150, 4x4 and 2WD, including EcoBoost and Raptor models with the 36 gallon tank. It does not fit Supercab Raptor with the 26 gallon tank. If your truck did not come with an OEM fuel tank skid plate, Ford fuel tank straps with studded receivers are required for mounting, and RCI sells them.

The skid plate, all hardware and installation instructions. Fuel tank straps are sold separately if needed.
Install notes
