How to make a Overland Vehicle Systems claim
- Have your proof of purchase or sales receipt ready; OVS asks for it with every warranty claim
- Photograph the defect and note your part number before you remove or ship anything
- Contact OVS Warranty Service by phone or email (below). OVS decides whether the item is defective and, if it is, repairs or replaces it with an equivalent product
- Freight deliveries (caps, racks, tents): inspect before you sign, note any damage on the bill of lading, and report damage or missing pieces within 24 hours

OVS Folding Utility Shovel
A full-size shovel is awkward to carry in most rigs, and a cheap folding one tends to bend the first time it meets packed dirt. This OVS military-style utility shovel collapses to 9.25 inches and opens to 22.75 inches, so it fits in a door pocket or recovery bag but still digs out a buried tire.
The spade is #50 boron steel, which OVS uses because it is lighter and stronger than ordinary carbon steel, and it has a rolled edge on the back and sides for stiffness. One edge is serrated for cutting roots and brush. The shaft is 7075 aluminum, the handle is glass-filled reinforced nylon with a locking collar, and everything is finished in a two-stage black powder coat. Browse more recovery gear.
Universal. It is a hand tool, so it works with any vehicle and stows in a recovery bag, drawer or under a seat.
