How to make a Overland Vehicle Systems claim

HD Sidewinder Side Load Aluminum Hard Shell Roof Top Tent
Most hard shell tents open off the back or straight up. The Sidewinder opens to the side, giving a two-person aluminum hard shell that sets up in under a minute: release two latches, pull the ladder down and put in two window rods. Putting it away is the same steps in reverse.
The shell and base are aluminum honeycomb, with a 1 in insulated base and two nitrogen gas struts doing the lifting. Inside you get a 2 in mattress over an anti-condensation mat, an adjustable pop-up strut that adds headroom along the length, and enough room to leave bedding in when it is closed. The tent body is 280g ripstop poly cotton with a 3500 PU waterproof rating, closing on a mil-spec gasket with 304 stainless hardware. Compare it with the rest of our roof top tents.
Universal roof top tent. It mounts with a universal, adjustable aluminum channel, so it suits a range of roof racks and crossbars. Your rack must be rated for the tent weight, so check it before ordering.
Two removable crossbars come standard; they do not extend. T-slot accessory channels take recovery gear and other light accessories. Honest trade-offs: there is no skylight, interior lighting, AC/heater port, travel cover, blackout fabric, annex room or cold-weather insulation kit. The boxed tent measures 84 x 62 x 12 in and weighs about 250 lb shipped. Covered by the OVS warranty. This one ships by freight truck, so plan on a delivery appointment. Not sure it fits your setup? How long does setup take?
Under a minute: unlock two latches, pull down the ladder and insert two window rods.
Can I carry gear on top?
Yes. The two crossbars hold 45 lb with the tent open and 100 lb when closed, and they work with Thule and Yakima accessories.
Can I leave bedding inside when it is closed?
Yes. There is room to store bedding inside with the shell closed.
Does it have a skylight or annex?
No. The Sidewinder has no skylight, annex room, interior lighting or travel cover.
How is it delivered?
It ships by freight truck at about 250 lb boxed, so plan on a delivery appointment.
