How to make a Overland Vehicle Systems claim
- Have your proof of purchase or sales receipt ready; OVS asks for it with every warranty claim
- Photograph the defect and note your part number before you remove or ship anything
- Contact OVS Warranty Service by phone or email (below). OVS decides whether the item is defective and, if it is, repairs or replaces it with an equivalent product
- Freight deliveries (caps, racks, tents): inspect before you sign, note any damage on the bill of lading, and report damage or missing pieces within 24 hours

HD Nomadic 270 LTE Awning - Driver Side
A 270 degree awning wraps shade around the side and rear of the vehicle, which is where camp actually happens. The Nomadic 270 LTE is the lighter, more compact member of the OVS 270 family, built for rigs where weight and rack space matter but you still want full wraparound coverage on the driver side.
In normal conditions it stands on its own: a reinforced oversize hinge and four 1-1/8 in tubular rafters on an aluminum frame hold the canopy out without poles. When wind or rain is coming, four integrated aluminum legs swing down and the supplied ropes add stability. The canopy is 280G poly cotton ripstop with heat-sealed seams and meets FMVSS 302 for fabric flammability, and it packs into a 1000g PVC travel cover. Browse more vehicle awnings and accessories if you are adding walls or mounts.
Universal. This is the driver side version and uses a universal L mounting bracket that works with a variety of roof racks. Check your rack has mounting space along the driver side and rear corner before ordering.
Included: the awning, hardware, stakes, tension straps and ropes. Leg length adjusts up to 8.5 ft. Optional 270 LTE walls are sold separately. The awning ships in a 71 x 6 x 6 in box at about 31 lb. Do I need to set up poles every time?
No. In normal conditions the hinge and rafters hold the awning out without poles. Drop the four integrated legs when wind or rain is on the way.
How much shade does it give?
Up to about 65 square feet across 270 degrees.
Will it mount to my roof rack?
It uses a universal L mounting bracket that fits a variety of roof racks. Call us with your rack model and we will check it.
What is the difference between driver and passenger side?
They mirror each other. This is the driver side unit, so it opens along the driver side and wraps around the rear.
Can I add walls?
Yes. Optional Nomadic 270 LTE walls are sold separately.
