How to make a Overland Vehicle Systems claim
- Have your proof of purchase or sales receipt ready; OVS asks for it with every warranty claim
- Photograph the defect and note your part number before you remove or ship anything
- Contact OVS Warranty Service by phone or email (below). OVS decides whether the item is defective and, if it is, repairs or replaces it with an equivalent product
- Freight deliveries (caps, racks, tents): inspect before you sign, note any damage on the bill of lading, and report damage or missing pieces within 24 hours

HD Nomadic 270 LT Awning, Driver Side
The 270 LT is the smaller, lighter version of the HD Nomadic 270. It still wraps shade around the driver side and rear of the vehicle, but covers 80 square feet instead of 129 and closes down to 83 inches long, which suits mid size vehicles and racks that can't carry the full-size awning.
Reinforced oversize hinges and boxed aluminum rafters let it stand on its own in calm conditions, and setup is a one-person job. The 280G poly cotton rip-stop canopy has heat sealed seams. When the wind comes up, pivoting telescoping poles lock in at the height you want, and with the stakes and tie downs set it is rated to a 40 mph maximum. Universal, driver side. It mounts to anything with a factory or aftermarket roof rack and works with most racks. Confirm your rack's weight capacity before installing.
Included: the awning with 5 built-in aluminum rafters, 2 pivoting and telescoping poles plus 2 telescoping poles, 6 sets of shock cord, 8 heavy duty stakes, a 1000G PVC travel cover, 2 heavy duty mounting brackets with hardware and a nylon tie down kit. Closed size is 83 x 7 x 5 inches, and the awning weighs 39.6 lb. The neoprene sleeve on the tension strap keeps it from scratching paint. What's the difference between the 270 and the 270 LT?
The LT covers 80 square feet instead of 129 and is shorter when closed at 83 inches, with 5 rafters instead of 6.
Which side does it mount on?
This is the driver side version. A passenger side version is sold separately.
Does it need poles?
Not in calm weather. Use the poles, stakes and tie downs when wind picks up; with them it's rated to 40 mph.
Will it fit my rack?
It works with most factory and aftermarket roof racks. Check the rack's weight rating first.
