Warranty Information
Vendor warranty summary
Overland Vehicle Systems Warranty
At a glance: coverage depends on the line: limited lifetime on Expedition truck cap structure and XD awning frames, 6 years on XD tents and XD awning fabric, 4 years on HD tents and awnings, 2 years on LD tents
This is Overland Vehicle Systems's policy, not an NVMOS policy. OVS doesn't publish one warranty document. Its product pages say coverage and terms vary by product, so we've pulled the terms from each OVS product line's own pages and summarized them in plain English. Where an OVS page shows a generic warranty badge that disagrees with the product's own warranty text, we use the product text. The manufacturer's official terms always govern and can change without notice. Last reviewed on nvmos.com: October 16, 2026.

HD Nomadic 180 Awning for Mid-High Roof Vans
A mid or high roofline van mounts its awning well above head height, so the support poles need to be longer than usual to reach the ground. This HD Nomadic 180 awning comes with a bracket kit and extended 3 meter (9.85 ft) poles sized for taller vans, and it opens into 88 square feet of shade and rain cover that one person can deploy.
It's freestanding in normal conditions: oversized reinforced hinges and boxed aluminum rafters with welded ends and internal cross supports hold the canopy out without poles. When the wind picks up, three pivoting aluminum poles swing down and lock at the height you want, and supplied paracord and oversized stakes tie everything down. The canopy is 280G poly cotton ripstop with heat-sealed seams, the fabric meets FMVSS 302, and it packs into a 1000g PVC travel cover with a #10 zipper and a PU-3500 UV rating. Browse more vehicle awnings and accessories for walls and add-ons.
Designed for mid to high roofline vans. It mounts to most factory and aftermarket roof racks using the included bracket kit; check your rack's load rating, since the awning ships at about 66 lb.
Plan on 1 to 2 hours for installation, following the OVS instructions. In the box: the awning, the bracket kit and the 3 meter pole kit, plus stakes, paracord and ballistic nylon tie-downs. The enclosure walls are optional and sold separately, and zippers along the edge are there to attach them. Not sure it fits your setup? Call us at (920) 249-7744 and a real person will check it.
