Warranty Information
Vendor warranty summary
Overland Vehicle Systems Warranty
At a glance: coverage depends on the line: limited lifetime on Expedition truck cap structure and XD awning frames, 6 years on XD tents and XD awning fabric, 4 years on HD tents and awnings, 2 years on LD tents
This is Overland Vehicle Systems's policy, not an NVMOS policy. OVS doesn't publish one warranty document. Its product pages say coverage and terms vary by product, so we've pulled the terms from each OVS product line's own pages and summarized them in plain English. Where an OVS page shows a generic warranty badge that disagrees with the product's own warranty text, we use the product text. The manufacturer's official terms always govern and can change without notice. Last reviewed on nvmos.com: October 15, 2026.

Brute 1 Inch x 30 Foot Kinetic Recovery Rope
A tow strap barely stretches, so a stuck vehicle gets a hard jerk. A kinetic rope stretches as the recovery vehicle pulls away, then gives that stored energy back as a smooth, strong tug. It's the tool for deep mud, snow and sand, where a plain tow strap either won't do the job or shocks everything it's attached to.
The Brute is a 1 inch nylon rope with an abrasion resistant coating and 30 percent stretch, 30 feet long, rated at 30,000 lb breaking strength. It pairs naturally with OVS soft shackles for a rigging setup without steel hardware flying around. See all our recovery straps.
Universal. Use it between rated recovery points on both vehicles, ideally with soft shackles.
Comes with a storage bag to keep the rope clean and out of the sun between uses. Check that both vehicles' recovery points are rated well beyond the load, and never attach a kinetic rope to a tow ball. It is covered by the OVS warranty. Not sure it fits your setup? Call us at (920) 249-7744 and a real person will check it.

OVS Brute Kinetic Recovery Rope 1" x 30' with Storage Bag FAQs
What's the difference between a kinetic rope and a tow strap?

What's the breaking strength?
30,000 lb.
How long is it?
30 feet, with a 1 inch diameter.
What should I connect it with?
Soft shackles on rated recovery points are the best match. Never use a tow ball as a recovery point.
Is a bag included?
Yes, it comes with a storage bag.
