This is the aluminum storage box built to hang on the side of the Backwoods Jeep Gladiator bed rack. Most bed rack boxes are injection-molded plastic that tends to age badly; Backwoods went the other way with a USA-made box in 1/8" aluminum, stainless mounts and a proper seal. You can run one on each side of the rack.
Why it works
- All 1/8" aluminum construction with stainless steel mounts and stainless black-oxide hardware.
- Gas struts open the lid on their own, and lockable push-button latches keep it shut. Two rubber latch covers are included.
- A rubber gasket helps keep dust and water out.
- The outside MOLLE panel takes accessories and is pre-drilled for a Rotopax mount.
- Two fully adjustable interior shelves.
- Total weight is 38 lb.
Gas strut setup
Three gas struts come in the box. Use two when nothing heavy hangs on the outside panel. Use all three if you run a Rotopax or another heavy accessory on the MOLLE panel.

Does this box need the Backwoods bed rack?
Yes. It is made specifically for the Backwoods Jeep Gladiator Overland Bed Rack and mounts one box per side.
Why does it come with three gas struts?
Use two struts when the outside panel carries no extra weight. Use all three when you mount a Rotopax or other heavy accessory to the outside MOLLE panel.
Is it weather sealed?
It has a rubber gasket to help keep out dust and water, and lockable push-button latches with rubber covers.
