ORACLE describes this as the first commercially available RTV silicone formulated specifically for automotive headlamp reassembly, rather than a generic RTV borrowed from another trade. If you are finishing a headlight retrofit or putting a housing back together after baking the lens, the seal matters, because it is what keeps moisture out of your work.

A functional cure takes 3 hours, but an overnight cure is recommended for best results before the light goes back on the vehicle.
