This is a direct LED replacement for the 3156 reverse light bulb on the 2000-2001 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. Twelve 3-chip 5050 SMD LEDs give a sharper, brighter light than the standard incandescent, with quick-fire response, and the bulb uses roughly a tenth of the power of the one it replaces. The LED chips are rated for 100,000 hours.
It is a fit-and-forget upgrade: same base, same socket, no wiring changes. If your reverse lights have always looked dim at night, this is the cheap and simple fix.
