This is a direct LED replacement for the 3156 reverse light bulb on the 2000-2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Twelve 3-chip 5050 SMD LEDs give a sharper, brighter light than the standard incandescent, with quick-fire response, and the bulb uses roughly a tenth of the power of the one it replaces. The LED chips are rated for 100,000 hours.
It is a fit-and-forget upgrade: same base, same socket, no wiring changes. If your reverse lights have always looked dim at night, this is the cheap and simple fix.
Fitment
Matched to the 3156 reverse light on the 2000 and 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, part number 5001-001. This listing is sold as one bulb in cool white. Verify the factory bulb size before ordering, because trim level, headlamp package and earlier modifications can affect fitment.
What's included
One ORACLE 3156 12 LED 3-Chip SMD bulb.
Install notes
ORACLE rates this a beginner job of about 15 minutes with basic hand tools. Confirm the 3156 bulb size, remove the factory bulb, install the ORACLE LED, and test before putting the housing or trim back together. Do not touch the LED emitters or force the bulb into an incompatible socket.
